In a thrilling Arizona High School Varsity Football matchup on October 6, 2023, the Millennium Tigers, currently ranked #61 in the state, emerged victorious over the #45 ranked Canyon View Jaguars with a final score of 49-35. Held at Canyon View’s home field, the game showcased an exhilarating display of offensive firepower from both teams.


The Millennium Tigers, guided by head coach Jerry Ball, demonstrated their offensive prowess throughout the contest. Senior running back #2 Dupree ignited the scoring with a powerful rushing touchdown, setting the tone for the game. His teammates were quick to follow, with #7 Rivera and #8 Johnson each contributing rushing touchdowns to bolster the Tigers’ lead. The passing game also proved formidable, as #4 Johnson caught a touchdown pass and #9 Trim added two receiving touchdowns, playing a crucial role in securing the win for Millennium.


Despite the loss, the Canyon View Jaguars, led by coach Aaron Walls, exhibited resilience and offensive capability. Junior #2 Jaramillo scored a receiving touchdown, while seniors #13 Patterson and #14 Varvel each added two receiving touchdowns apiece. Their impressive efforts kept the game competitive, but ultimately, the Tigers' diverse and relentless offense proved too much to overcome.
